I know I can’t help but look back over 2011 with all that’s happened in life.  So, here’s a film from Madeline Schichtel that took this a step further. Worth every second.

I shot a little video every day of 2011 on my Canon Powershot, then I edited it all down to a little over a second each. It’s interesting to be able to look back on my year and remember these little moments. I love living in LA. I love the friends I’ve made. And I love seeing how much has changed over just one year being here.

A friend showed me some flying suit & base jumping videos recently that inspired me to go looking for others, and so I did, the one I’m gonna drop below I selected for 2 reasons…
A) I fell in love with the song when I heard it; Sail – Awolnation
B) The title of the video is pretty much summed up in several parts, my personal favourite is 1:35

As he says himself in the video he cut it pretty close back there….

This weeks music pick influenced by my recent journey up to Edinburgh for the Hogmanay New Years Ever party.  The headlining act, Glaswegian founded Primal Scream, on their Screamadelica Live tour (an album released in 1991).  I particularly enjoyed the set and heard several well known songs previously unbeknownst to me, to have been by Primal Scream.

This song in particular stood out to me, I think it has a very Rolling Stones sound to it.
