Currently heading down the M74 towards the English border in order to catch a train from Crewe. May even manage to make it back early. I’m so opening my new bottle of scotch when I’m back…
Finally on my lunch (though it looks like its just ended) and I’ve just had possibly one of the most amusing complaint letters ever brought to my attention. It was addressed to Richard Branson, and follows the experience of a Virgin airways passenger on a flight to Mumbai, here’s a little extract:
I’ll try and explain how this felt. Imagine being a twelve year old boy Richard. Now imagine it’s Christmas morning and you’re sat their with your final present to open. It’s a big one, and you know what it is. It’s that Goodmans stereo you picked out the catalogue and wrote to Santa about.
Only you open the present and it’s not in there. It’s your hamster Richard. It’s your hamster in the box and it’s not breathing.
